Misuse or erroneous substitution of Infumorph(TM) 200 or 500 (10 or 25 mg/mL, respectively) for Duramorph (0.5 or 1 mg/mL) may result in overdose, seizures, respiratory depression, or possibly death. With the use of morphine sulfate, there is a risk of severe adverse effects when the epidural, intrathecal, or catheter implantation route of administration is employed. Monitor patients closely and have naloxone injection and resuscitative equipment immediately available .
